Guess What Comes Out Today...

Hunger Games.
I will buy it today.
I is oh so excited you don't even know.
But you do know because I just told you.
& obviously I had to make yet another inspiration board for the occasion.
Most of this inspiration is from a shoot that Layla shared with me,
Because she knows just how obsessed I am!
It was featured on Hostess with the Mostest & I am so obsessed.
SO if I had all the time in the world...
& friends who actually were as obsessed with the Hunger Games as meeeee...
I would love to host a party for it just because it's coming out on video!
And that means 3 whole hours of behind the scenes footage.
EEEEEEEEEK SO EXCITED.

Hunger Games Party Inspiration

Anyone else out there as excited as me?!?!?!?!
I will someday have a Hunger Games party.
Maybe like a birthday party???
Or maybe someday I'll get to plan a Hunger Games inspiration shoot...
:) :) :)

Amber Veatch Designs

So a few months back I went to the Cultivate Workshop in Jacksonville, Florida
with Layla @ Simply Savannah Events.
You can read about it here
Anyway, I met a ton of awesome ladies working in wedding & event planning,
one of whom just started an Etsy shop!
The second day of the workshop we were all paired up to talk about our goals
& her goal was to open up a shop so I am so excited she did it!!
She really is inspiring though because I too someday hope to have an Etsy shop of my own... :)

Here are just a few things you can purchase in her shop! But be sure & check it out!

She has more in her shop but these are my favorites!
Check out what else she has here!! :)
The cool thing is that anything in her shop is customizable!
It's pretty awesome! I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Congrats Amber & your accomplishments! :)

Dreaming of a PINK Summer

I usually ignore contests & what not. But was inspired when I received a text yesterday from Victoria's Secret Pink about their Pinterest Challenge. Probably only because I'm obsessed with Pinterest... & I love Victoria's Secret! So I decided to create a Pinterest board & enter the contest to win a $250 gift card to Victoria's Secret. And decided to make a Pink Summer Party inspiration board! On a side note, I've officially started the 8 Week Bikini Body Program. I know I'm not fat, but I am very self conscious about my legs & arms and have decided it's time to get healthy, fit & toned! This time I will stick with it because summer in Savannah starts now & I want to feel confident all summer long in my bikini! :)

Party Inspiration #2: Dreaming of a PINK Summer

Anyway, back to the working out to get ready for summer fun...
If you don't have a gym membership but want to get in shape
I would highly recommend checking out Life Plus Fitness Blog.
She has some amazing workouts & programs!!!
I am currently doing the 8 Week Bikini Body Program
& what I love about it is that everyday is a different workout
which is perfect for me because I get bored so so fast...
And they are not easy workouts, they take about 45 minutes
& then she encourages you to run 3 miles or 30 min after.
I'll let you guys know the results in 7 weeks and 5 days :)
Now for the planning guide for all of you Dreaming of a Pink pool party...

California Lovin'

So I have been MIA lately because we didn't have wifi!
But we finally got it & cable!
Which is just in time for Tuesday night 90210...
Oh yeah, I might be lame but I love this show.
I just love California style.
Which brought me back to this really fun Palm Springs Pool Party Shoot
And ya know, I just was in the mood to do an inspiration board
on a California Lovin' party!

Party Inspiration #1: California Lovin'

I know it's not the right season considering it's only february,
But watching 90210 just made me wish it was summer
& that I was at the beach with a pina colada...
I think I also keep daydreaming about summer
Because everything seems very overwhelming right now!
And I am just ready for a break!!
Soon, right?

P.S. Not gonna lie, I always wished I was from California... Hahaha.

Thursday DIY #1: Jamie's Baby Shower

So Thursdays is going to be anything having to do with DIY.
Whether it's for an event, wedding, home decor, anything.
So, I am planning my cousin's baby shower!
The theme is Gold Giraffes & Champagne!
[Not literal champagne, but the color champagne.. tehehe]
I have so many fun ideas & I need to get started on making everything!
A lot of the stuff I wanna use is going to be DIY so I figured it was the perfect first post to my...
Thursday DIY series!

Thursday DIY #1: Jamie's Baby Shower

To-Do List:
1. Spray paint mason jars gold
[Lovely Little Details blog has a tutorial on this...
there isn't much to it, but I just wanted to mention her since
she is a really awesome blogger & was really helpful when
I asked her a formatting question about my blogger banner!]

2. Make poms with fabric or tissue paper
[Jessica Demaio at A Simple Kind of Love has a
great tutorial on how to make fabric poms.]

3. Follow up with Kelly
[Kelly is doing all the desserts for the shower.
Kelly is absolutely amazing to work with so far!
I e-mailed her & said can you do all the desserts on my Pinterest?
She said yes, I said you're hired!!!!]

4. Print out the Printable Invitations, Food Labels, & Cupcake Toppers
[Lauren at Details Beyond Design has been amazing with this!
I saw a Giraffe baby shower invite by her & she customized the colors for me!
She even put up with my lack-of-ability-in-using-Pay-Pal
& I'm so excited to feature her amazing printables!!]

A Dazzling Glitter & Gold Birthday

As my birthday fast approaches (Nov 30th)
I can't help but want to make an inspiration board
for the most dazzling, sparkly, gold, amazing birthday ever.
I just think diamonds & gold make such an amazing combination personally.
Some might say tacky or over the top, but I just love anything that sparkles & glitters!
Not that mine will be that way considering I just moved here in August
& definitely don't have enough friends yet to have some lavish affair.
But a girl can dream right?
Plus, I'm sure I will have an amazing birthday regardless with the amazing friends I have made so far!

Oh & btw, is that dinosaur candle holder not the funniest/cutest thing you've ever seen?
Maybe not appropriate for a 23 year old birthday... but maybe for a 1 year old!?

Frog Prince Paperie

Credit to Layla Mayville for introducing me to this awesome Etsy artist!
And introducing me to printables...
I've been seeing these "printables" all over Pinterest & blogs lately.
But hadn't yet looked into what exactly they are.
But now I get it & I cannot wait to try them out at an event!
I might have to use them for my Halloween party w/my friend!
They are absolutely incredible...

Check this Etsy shop out...
Seriously!
She has printables for any occasion you could possibly think of
& I believe she also does custom ones as well if you want that!
Also, just had to post the baby shower printables she has!
This is great... & would be so adorable at the shower I'm throwing for my cousin!

Halloween Party?

One of my friend's down here wants to host a Halloween party.
& let me tell you, this girl is beyond amazingly crafty.
I want some of her skills she is so good!
She doesn't believe me when I tell her all this, which is another reason why I really like this girl.
{Not too big of a fan of people who are cocky... just sayin...}
Anyway, here is my inspiration board for a fun, crafted, DIY Halloween party!

Halloween Party Inspiration

This should be fun! Now all I have to do is figured out what I am going to be for Halloween...
I want to do something fun with my boyfriend, so we are brainstorming now...

Housewarming Party

I can't believe I've almost been here a month.
It feels so much longer.
It has been a whirlwind & I am so happy about that.
Everything has been working out pretty well so far so I am happy about that.
Anyway, my roommate & I are still in the process of setting up & decorating.
It takes so long... & takes so much money!
So I've been crafting a lot to try & save money on decor.
Once we have everything set up though we are going to have a Housewarming Party.
My guess is it won't be until early/mid-October.
Obviously I want it to look perfect & really nice before we invite people over!
Anyway, here's my inspiration board for our Housewarming Party!
I wanted a Moroccan theme idea, & found this on Hostess with the Mostest.
Obsessed with this idea!
So fun! It's classy and Moroccan-ish.

Baby cowboys?!

Part 2 of the baby shower blog post!
Instead of changing the theme, I kept it the same since it would be for the same person...
So a lot of the things are the same but in baby blue!
I am loving this horse/country theme personally... lol!

Baby Shower Inspiration #2: Horses & Boys

On a completely side note...
The apartment is going great!
We barbecued last night by the pool & had a nighttime swim!
It was a lot of fun...
ALTHOUGH... I have been eaten alive.
I bet those mosquitos are getting fat after feasting on me.
Grrr...

Baby Horses?!

Not me obviously...
My cousin!
She got married a few months ago...
Check out her wedding here
[Obviously I had to write a blog about it!!!]
Anyway, her & her husband are trying to get pregnant!
EEEEEK So excited to have another baby cousin!
I'm going to try & convince her to let me throw her baby shower for her!
It can be a trial event planning I can do...
& I am feeling girly right now, so I decided to make a board for a baby girl,
I used things she likes [horses, farms, the country, mason jars & lanterns] as inspiration.
Here goes...
