Styled Love Shoot in a MARSH?!

Oh my gosh yesterday the boyfriend & I did something super special!
In about 20 minutes I styled a love shoot for us in the swamp with the super talented Alexis Sweet of Alexis Sweet Photography!!!
Alexis is so easy to be around and makes you feel super comfortable...
Although Chris did point out that she had more pointers for me than for him so according to my boyfriend he is obviously more photogenic and goodlooking than me. :)
Anyway, Alexis is so awesome she even gave us a little sneak peak last night! I was so in love!
And cannot wait to see the rest, but wanted to share them first!!!
I love how she was able to capture Winnie smiling too!!!

Coming next a post on how to style a love shoot in 20 minutes for under $100.. haha it happened. :)
And I loved the outcome!!!
Almost as much as I love my boyfriend :)
But not quite!
Have a great weekend ya'll!!!!
Today is my last wedding of the year at the Savannah Queen!!

Blogging Slacker

I have sucked at blogging lately!
I feel like that's good because it means I'm busy...
But I still miss my daily blog posts...
And it's been so long since I've posted some pretty wedding inspiration.
Anyway, today I have a lot on my to-do list since it's my day off.
So no... no wedding inspiration for right now.
But I do have a different kind of inspiration.
I have a lot on my plate & a lot to think about...
Will share more later, but until then here is some much needed pumping-up.

Now I am off to grocery shop & run errands :)
Time to get my lazy butt out of bed & make the most of my day off!
Hope you all have a fabulous day! <3

Oh How Pinteresting #14

2 years ago yesterday, July 18th, my boyfriend & I were at a bar. I was with my girlfriends celebrating someone's 21st. He was celebrating being back from overseas with some buddies. He asked me to dance. I said no. It was girl's night obviouslyHe asked me again later to dance. After checking with my friends I said yes. Now this is where you probably would expect me to say the rest is history right? Well, no it didn't work like that for us. After that night he texted me a few times durin the week and whenever I would respond he wouldn't respond back. I was single & having fun & getting irritated at him. So about a week and a half into this I texted him saying... Stop texting me unless you are going to ask me to hang out. So he did. Are you thinking that might be where the rest is history??? Well, nope. We went on a date... and it was awful. I texted my friends the whole time saying how bad it was. Nevertheless, he kissed me goodnight & we went on our way. I got home and told my girlfriends all the details about how awful the date was. The next day at work though he asked me to go out that night... I decided okay fine I'll give this guy one more chance... and so I told him I was going out with some of my intern friends but he was welcome to come along. He did... and we had an amazing night. We started seeing each other more & more and then in the fall he learned he was moving to Savannah. I cried... and cried some more... and cried some more and more... But then we decided to give long distance a go. We did it... 9 long months that were really tough. Then last August I moved to Savannah, he got back to Savannah in October... And now the rest is history. :) It might not be the cutest love story in the world, but this love story is ours. And I love it. So today I wanted to include some pins that are all about loveeeee.

Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesday #14

And here's the beautiful flowers my lover gave me and a pic of us at Myrtle Beach!

Tehehehehehe!
So glad I gave that boy a second chance at a dance!!!!

Happy Memorial Day

Today I would like to share this video I first saw on A Momma's Desires & Pacifiers.
I have to admit... I did tear up...
I love stuff like this, but I am also a big baby & I cry very easily.
It makes me really happy when I meet someone who is respectful of our military.
It also makes me feel so good when someone comes up to my bf while we are out
& he's in his uniform and they thank him for his service.
I can easily say I am so happy I found him.
Well rather he found me... :)
Anyway, I hope today you take the time to thank those you know that serve for our country.

Happy Memorial Day!!!! :)
And I must say, I have had a fabulous weekend despite having to work so much!!!

Oh, How Pinteresting #6 & Dream Wedding #16

Today I decided to combine my link-ups with Vintage Apple & Something Charming. Mostly just because what I wanted to do for my wedding wednesday is basically using all pictures from my pinterest board, Bride & Groom. Since I work at weddings it is no surprise that my dream wedding is starting to formulate in my head. And it is so different than what I originally thought. At first I always thought I would want this huge party with a whole bunch of people. Now trust me... I still want my big party, but there's something else I want first. I want to either elope or have an engagement shoot with an amazing photographer. Then I think probably a year later I want to have the huge party. I just think it would be so much more intimate and meaningful for myself & future mystery fiance to do it that way... Just to spend that day with the people you love more than anything. Or maybe unconsciously this is just my way of getting to celebrate twice? I don't know. But I will tell you one thing. I do not want my wedding to be the happiest day of my life. And the reason is because than what about all the rest of the days of marriage? Are you just doomed to a life of never being that happy again??

I will admit that I do believe in true love & fairy tales. <3

Oh, How Pinteresting #6 & a Dream Wedding #16: Engagement Shoot

Now don't you want to do an engagement shoot like this??
& you know what... I just thought of something...
Looking at all these happy couples makes me happy
because I am a happy girlfriend & I love my boyfriend. :)
And I feel very lucky to have that!
I think it's fun to have an engagement shoot location that fits the couple's personalities.
Which made me think...
HOW FREAKING COOL WOULD A
SNOWBOARDING ENGAGEMENT SHOOT BE?!?!?!?!
Just saying... now watch us see it next winter on one of these big wedding blogs.
Pfttt, well all I have to say is I said it first.
Now I'm off to get my haircut.
Ew.
I hate getting my haircut.
Read more about it here.
& since it's Pinteresting Wednesday... I will finish this post with some cool hair pins!
Definitely didn't mean to only use blondes... but uhh it just happened that way.

Detox Update:
After going to the pool & having to put on a bathing suit, I was quickly reminded why I chose to do this detox. And decided to make the best of it & complete it because I started it. I may have a drink or two this weekend but that doesn't mean I can't complete the 7 days. So I will be doing all 7 days. Then next time when considering a detox, I'll stick to one that is less than 5 days haha. Oh, and I just made a delicious dinner of asparagus, mushrooms & onions seasoned with salt, pepper & garlic. It was actually really fabulous and I will be making it as a side dish for the bf sometime! I think he'd like it a lot too. So, here is to self control & willing myself to just do it!
