Wedding #55: Elizabeth's on 37th Intimate Wedding

Today is a busy day!!!!!!!!
I had a doctor's appointment super early this morning
& then I worked out for an hour and a half
& now I am blogging then heading to my friend's house
to hang out before work :)
So since I didn't have the time to put together an inspiration board
I wanted to share this adorable precious wedding by Simply Savannah Events!
I didn't work at this wedding since it was a small intimate wedding,
But checking out the pictures this morning I really wanted to share
Because it looks like a very gorgeous event!
And I fell in love with the grandma & all the little monkey kids!!!!
Can I please someday have that many little boogers?
Guess I better start soon... hahaha jkjkjkjk

Gosh but seriously how cute are those kids & that grandma?
And is your mouth watering now or what?!!?!?

Dream Wedding #14: Succulent Bouquets

Like pretty much everyone else right now (it seems), I am obsessed with succulents.... & so for this week's link-up with Something Charming, I wanted to do a post on some beautiful succulent bouquets :) I don't know why I love the look of them so much but I really wish I could find some in Savannah to buy for some home decor. So... what do you all think? Like for forever? Like for right now? Or no way, too trendy? I bet by the time & age I get married I'll like something completely different.
Dream Wedding #14: Succulent Bouquets

So on a totally different note, I had an umm interesting day today.
I was treated very disrespectfully & was downgraded a lot...
For my job, my boyfriend, my life, etc.
& this happened by someone I considered a friend.
I know I don't have the most glamorous job...
I know my boyfriend is in the army & not a billionaire...
I know, I know, life's rough, right?
Pffffffffft. F NO
I love my boyfriend like crazy & couldn't be happier being with him,
I love my job like crazy (read this post here about me loving it)
Honestly, the only thing I don't love so far about Georgia
is how hard it has been for me to find true friends.
I mean the pee-your-pants-laughing-so-hard
girl-you-can-tell-anything-to-TMI-all-day
silly-goofy-never-embarrassed-of-you-ever
laughs-when-you're-not-funny
comforts-you-when-you're-sad
doesn't-judge-you-when-you're-down
type of friend...
The kind of friends I had back in college.

Anyone have advice? I'd love it... :)
Because ya know...
I used to have friends who liked me for me.
Me to the core.
Not fake me being nice to make friends, but me.
Gahhhhh how I would love that feeling again. :)
Someday...?
Over the rainbow...???????

Pepsi's Live For Now Ad

Do you ever feel like the answer to your problem pops out at you unexpectedly?
Well, that just happened... in a really weird way...
A Pepsi ad.
No joke.
Lately I have been stressing out about my job.
Not for the typical reasons...
But because I love it.
No lie, I love what I do...
I work 25-30 hours a week selling wedding dresses
& I work at weddings for Simply Savannah Events.
So you might be asking me what the problem is?
Well, I'll tell you...
At times I feel like I should be doing more.
Using my degree or working at a corporate job in a cubicle
Doing what I always thought I'd be doing...
Doing what a lot of my friends my age are doing...
But at the same time I feel so confused because if I love my job,
& I make enough to support myself, then why leave it?
So this ad sort of in a way gave me the answer to this problem.
& honestly that's what I'm going to do.

I need to just focus on now.
And if I'm happy now than why change it?
I know down the road I'll want something more... but until then...
I'm just going to live for now.
Thank you Pepsi.
Although, my dad did give me very similar advice a week ago...
So I guess, thank you Dad.
Time to stop comparing myself to others & just live in the moment
& be happy along the journey. :)

Wedding #46: The Mackey House {PART 1}

For my Wedding Wednesday Link-up with Something Charming, I decided to share a real wedding that I worked at. This wedding at the Mackey House was so beautiful. It was the funnest wedding I ever worked at. I got to help with a lot of the decor which is what I truly enjoy doing the most & is why I really wanted to get into this industry. This is also the wedding that will be featured on Style Me Pretty Georgia. {WOOP WOOP} So while decorating and setting everything up, I took pictures & decided to use some Instagram magic before sharing the wedding through my eyes!

{Real} Wedding Inspiration #46: The Mackey House {PART 1}

I have to say I think my favorite picture I took is the last one of the love ducks.
I mean really... how cute is that???
Anyway, to the details...
The beauty of this wedding was all the details.
Every place you can imagine there was some decor.
To the swing sets to the mantles inside the house were decorated for this couple's beautiful wedding.
The part of this wedding that was my favorite part was during the reception
it started raining & there was burlap covering the dance floor
So everyone was dancing under the covering while it's storming
& then it starts lightning & thundering...
next to the pool...
I mean can you imagine how incredible this was???
It was soo stunning to see the pool and the dance floor light up & hear the thunder.
It was amazing.
Absolutely perfect I would say!
Plus it's good luck if it rains on your wedding day, so I think they got lots of good luck.
Oh and their favors were delicious :)
I got to take some leftovers home & let me tell you...
Those hush puppies were amazing!
I have yet to try the jumbalaya and the bean soup
But I plan on it soon!!!

My Love Story

Linking up with From Mrs to Mamma
this morning for some Valentine's Day loving!
I know I don't normally share all this stuff from my life, but I figured it'd be a fun little post!

1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
1 year and 7 months
2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}
On a summer night my friends & I went out for a birthday & we were having a great time dancing, drinking, laughing when Chris asked me to dance. I said no. Well, after a little bit he actually asked me again to dance. After getting approval from my friends I danced with him. He kissed me before the night was over. Well, fast forward about 3 weeks. Chris & I texted randomly on & off but I was getting bored because he would text me once or maybe twice a day then never respond back to me. So finally I texted him & said stop texting me unless you're going to ask me on a date. He did. Date=fail. We went to dinner & I ran into a friend from college. Well I went to give him a hug & I guess Chris was thinking, what the heck!? Later in the date I decided to tell him what I thought was funny (what hippos do when they're mad)... Well, Chris didn't find this funny one bit. It was a terrible date, just awful (we both agree on this). He gave me a kiss goodnight & I was thinking okay never seeing him again. Well, he (to my surprise) texted me the next day. I decided to give him one more chance, invited him out with my intern friends & they loved him & I decided I really liked him too. The rest is history. Well, sorta. Last November he learned the army was moving him to Savannah, Georgia. I still had a whole semester of college to finish in Tacoma, Washington. I decided to move after college as long as we survived long distance. Which we did... & now here I am. In a house, living with him in warm & sunny Savannah, Georgia.
3. If married, how long have you been married? If not, is this the guy you hope to marry? {do tell}
We are not married, but truthfully, yes I would hope he is someday when it's right for us both.
4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?  If not, where would you like to get married? And will it be big or small?
Honestly since I look at wedding blogs on the daily I have no clue where I would want to get married. Maybe a plantation, maybe the beach, maybe a farm, maybe a mansion, who knows. But it will definitely be big! With all my friends from college and my few friends I've made in Savannah!
5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
Pookie, buttercup, sugarplum, babie, poopiehead, monkeyhead, etc. etc. whatever we can think of that makes us both laugh basically.
6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
1. He is very honorable. He is in the army & he takes it very seriously. He is secretive about his job and he loves what he does (working with helicopters). He also has dreams of maybe someday being a pilot. I love that he is ambitious. 2. He does things for me unexpectedly. We saw this awesome door shelf on Pinterest & both loved it. Well, one day while at work he went out, bought a door, bought some tools, & started on it. It's not finished yet but when it is I'll put some pics on here! It's going to look amazing!
7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal?
Haha uhhh a surprise?
8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberrieschampagne, and rose petals?
Well last year I got flowers. But I would say he's none of these. But I could go for some chocolate covered strawberries & a back massage?
9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
Personally I would love to spend more time at the beach. It doesn't have to be at sunset, it can be anytime of the day. But often we are too tired after work or I work on weekends. I'm hoping this summer though we make it down to Tybee a lot!
10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
African safari!!!!! I really want to go to South Africa really bad! And a cruise! Just travel everywhere I guess!
11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.
I have class until 730 & he won't know how late he works until that day. So honestly we have nothing planned & I think instead of doing gifts we are going to save our money since we just moved & are doing a lot of home projects!
12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
Oh I'm sure I'll ask for a back massage but that's nothing special since I usually ask for that daily!
13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Telling each other we love each other, joking around, giggling, & not being afraid to make a fool of ourselves. We have become best friends & I think that's made us work. Because we have so much fun together we often want to spend our free time together.
14.  Show us a picture of what love means to you.

Hope you all have a fabulous Valentine's Day! :)

Me in a Bohemian Styled Shoot

So in October I did something I have never done before.
Something I never thought I would do.
Layla asked me to be in a styled shoot... I instantly said yes not thinking much about it.
I got one of my friends to be my fake hubby & I have to say we had a great time.
Lots of laughing & joking around.
Alexis Sweet was the photographer & she made me feel so comfortable.
I was really nervous & self conscious at first.
I didn't want to have pictures taken of my bad angle or of me making an ugly face.
But Alexis made me feel really comfortable & made me laugh a lot.
Although, I don't think I gave her very good "serious" faces.
And taking pictures straight into the sun was hard to keep my eyes open.
But she was patient with me & I do like the way most of the pictures turned out!
Layla did an amazing job styling the shoot with a Bohemian theme.
Anyway, I've finally gotten over my "shyness" of these & decided to put them up!

And these are amazing vendors that put this all together:
