Just Do It

If I didn't feel like a nimrod before, then I sure do now. I can't believe what I'm seeing right now on Hostess with the Mostest. Before I decided to buy my cousin's baby shower invitations off of Etsy from an amazing little shop, I actually created invitations that were chevron ombre with a giraffe outline on it in a damask print. & they were really cute but I was scared that people wouldn't like them. Now I am looking at one of my favorite blogs, Hostess with the Mostest, seeing something I had the idea to do 2 months ago but didn't because I was embarrassed!?!?

From now on I just need to do it. Stop over-thinking it & just do it. I might fail along the way, & I am sure at times I will fail along the way but at least I won't look back like this moment & regret not trying.. I don't ever want to think again.. wow I was going to do that but I just didn't get around to it or I was too scared to try & fail. Now I am super bummed I didn't do it first!
Now I just need to listen to my own words of wisdom & do what I dream. Goal: start my Etsy shop by next Tuesday. I have several ideas already stocked up in my head, and I need to just put aside a little bit each day to start it! On a related note, how amazing does the chevron ombre printables look? I am absolutely loving it all! It is 2 of my favorite trends mixed together!!! I think obviously it would have looked cuter with some giraffes on it... but it's still pretty amazing & adorable!!!

Now for some personal inspiration to get pumped up:

Dream Wedding #4: The Escort Card

So I am really excited because for my Wednesday posts I want to keep up with my Dream Wedding series. And I found this awesome Wedding Wednesday Link-Up Series to join on Something Charming that is all about weddings! For my first link-up & continuation of Dream Weddings I am going to showcase some fun escort cards! I love all the little details that go into making a wedding beautiful & unique and the escort card is no exception. I think the creative ones are so fun & really make a wedding unique if they go with the overall theme or look of the wedding.

Dream Wedding Wednesday #4: The Escort Card

This post was hard to make because my eye is so fuzzy right now. Hmmm... shower time & homework time!!!  Today I have to draw 30 sketches... It's going to be hard for me to concentrate because we still haven't heard back on the house... Anyway, I have to come up with an artist/celebrity/etc. & then make a poster. I'm thinking Taylor Swift, because look at these images from the vogue she was just in... Lots of bright crazy colors & inspiration to work with. I'm really nervous about this project because my teacher showed us past assignments that students did & seriously they look something a professional graphic designer did & my skill level is like a 2 using PhotoShop. I need to come up with 2 more people to do...

Anybody got any good ideas???

Guest Post Wedding: Fuschia & Olive

Every week I make an inspiration board for a guest post over
This week I used some inspiration from a customer's color scheme.
I love it when customers choose unusual color combos!
& this was no exception!!!
Here's a sneak peak!

Wedding #28: Neon Wedding

During my senior year of college I went through a neon phase.
I loved any sort of accessory, shoe, clothing article to be neon.
I kinda got out of that phase after graduation...
But Friday I decided to pull out & rock my neon yellow scarf from Nordstroms.
My boyfriend's response to my outfit?
"You look so crazy but so cute, so crazy cute!"
Anyway, that scarf plus these amazing heels I found last night while browsing Pinterest
inspired me to do a wedding inspiration board with neon!
So for my new daily blogging posts,
I decided I gotta start Mondays right with some Monday Morning Wedding Inspiration!
I figure what a great way to start a brand new week on a creative note
& Mondays usually suck, so this will hopefully potentially make them not-so-sucky.

Wedding Inspiration #28: Neon Wedding

That was a whole lotta neon.
Sorta reminds me of Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night" music video. My eyes hurt a little, but I'm definitely awake now! On a side note, I really love Katy Perry... I don't really know why but I do. Which is totally weird since I mostly only listen to country music. But, if you haven't seen this music video, I would recommend watching it! Very entertaining!!! Lol.

Hope you have an amazing start to your week!
I have a lot going on so it's going to be one busy week
Meaning lots & lots & lots & lots of cups of coffee for me!

Sundays at Home #1: Navy & Tan Living Room

While at the conference I decided I am determined to
work on posting blog posts regularly.
I came up with a schedule & I am going to not do my best, I am just going to do it.
So since Sundays are the day that I usually spend lounging around the house,
I figured it would be the best day for Home Decor Inspiration!
I decided to focus on the living room for the first post of the series
Specifically with the color palette navy & tan.
Haha, just noticed how ironic since that's the same color theme as my new blog header.
But I was also inspired by the first image in this inspiration board from Fieldstone Hill Design

Sundays at Home #1: Navy & Tan Living Room

My bf & I just applied for a house (fingers crossed tightly)
We don't find out until Tuesday or Wednesday... gahhhhh.
I am really hoping everything goes according to plan,
because my living situation now is awful.
I can promise that I will never live with another girl again.
& I can honestly say living with 6 girls in one house was a million times better than this...
Anyway, we have been looking at ideas for living room decor.
We have such opposite styles but I am confident we'll figure out a nice medium!
He likes very dark colors & traditional decor with a modern edge.
I like very ummm... bold accents & graphic prints.
Not sure what that style taste is called?
Some of my favorite interior designers online I've found are:

Cultivate Workshop

This weekend I went to the Cultivate WorkshopBeing here has been such an inspiring experience to see all these young women who are so successful doing what they love & what they want to be doing. It gives me inspiration that I can do this too. So many brainstorming ideas... !

The speakers here have been amazing & I am so so glad I came!
I wanted to feature something from each of their sites of something I really like!

1. Cassandra Cherneski from Flaire Weddings
She was the leader of the conference & she did an amazing job! She talked about starting & building your company w/a strong foundation & her husband talked about the legal side of business. I also got to meet her amazing assistant, Amber! Along w/event planning she has a rentals company with these awesome chairs! I'm loving the preppy feel of the navy & hot pink in this photo!

I've seen her site before & though... Can I be this person & do her job? I was so excited when I realized she was there!! She talked about branding, marketing & finding the right client. She specializes in gorgeous event design! I definitely recommend checking out her site & blog!! & how amazing is that dessert table?!
3. Lauren from Every Last Detail
She is a full-time blogger. Talk about an amazing job! Anyway, she talked about blogging (obviously), social media & editorial coverage! She has an amazing wedding blog & this adorable picture is from a great post she wrote on Wedding Expectations that she breaks down by Wedding Day, Wedding Planning & Wedding Vendor Expectations. I'd highly recommend brides-to-be follow her!!

I just cannot describe what a great experience it was!
It is all so exciting & I am so anxious to start working at all the weddings Layla has booked!
Countdown: 4 weeks till Wedding Madness!

Oh & randomly I decided to change my signature.
The old one was too meh, playful & childish so I wanted something more...
elegant?
I'm not sure I accomplished it but I like it better for the time being!
