Friday Fancies #53: Black Friday

I can honestly say last night was the very first time I have ever braved Black Friday shopping. Personally, it's definitely not my thing. I don't like crowds.. and there is nothing that irritates me more than people bumping into me while I am shopping. I am a stroller... I like to look. And think. And be able to walk where I want... I did get yelled at for walking over the barrier to look at the TVS at Target and then when he told me I can't go over there I said ummm so I have to stand in line just to look? He said yeah basically.... I did however find a white strips, toothbrush, toothpaste and mouthwash set for $31 bucks at Target. I was all over that since I am a white strips addict. Good thing now I'll have white teeth for Christmas. :) Any of you get any good finds? I think next year I'll stay at home and get a good nights rest after getting a really full belly!

Anyway, it's been way too long since I've participated in Friday Fancies!
Been blogging over at Simply Savannah Events, my wedding planning company's blog!
Come check it out here!
Anyway, this Friday Fancies is all about black...
And here are some things I'm loving lately :)

Lovely in Lace

Just a random little post this morning. :)
I saw the one shoulder ivory lace dress on Pinterest yesterday & fell in love.
I started to put together a reception outfit idea but then decided I just wanted everything lace.
So there you have it.
Some lovely lace to start off the week...
I'm definitely going to try & incorporate some lace into my work outfit today!
What's your favorite way to wear lace??

Lovely in Lace

My favorite lace things I own are my bandeau bras for backless shirts & this one lace top I have that has wide horizontal stripes that are thick then some are lace and see through. :) Maybe I'll try and rock that today. We'll see! Have a fabulous Monday ya'll!

Oh How Pinteresting #10

Gosh I feel like I haven't had a minute to breathe & relax & do what I love lately... it's been tiring. I'm ready for a break. I've been so ridiculously busy & haven't had much alone time but I really want it. I just want to go to a cafe, drink a ridiculously delicious iced vanilla latte, snack on macarons  and blog all day. How relaxing and nice does that sound? Sounds like perfection to me. I was supposed to have today off but someone called out so I'm going in... but I do have Friday off. So I might just have to have a me day. Anyway, this Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesday was put together in about 10 minutes so don't judge. :) Just some pins I found real fast that caught my eye! :)

Oh, How Pinteresting #10

& of course I had to throw in a Hunger Games pin.
So obsessed still... you don't even know.
I am being Katniss for Halloween.
Bow & arrows and all.
It is going to be epic.
I can't even wait.
I'm kinda tempted to have my hair braided professionally...
See?
I'm obsessed.
:)
Have a great Wednesday!

H&M Love

I love H&M.
When I lived in Dublin, Ireland doing a summer internship, I always got an hour to an hour & a half lunch break everyday. Best part about this??? My work was literally a 5 minute walk to the shopping center at St. Stephen's Green. My favorite stores? River Island, Top Shop & H&M. This explains why my Friday Fancies often use clothes from all 3 of the stores. When H&M came to Tacoma I was super excited... however, I was only there a semester before I moved...
So now I am in Savannah where other than fancy-way-too-expensive-boutiques-that-I-can't-afford... there is pretty much only Forever 21 to cater to my style.
so uh yeah I have been loving checking out H&M lately online! Here are some many reasons why I seriously need H&M to offer online shopping!!!

H&M Love

Best part about H&M?
The prices...
{1} $14.95
{2} $12.95
{3} $34.95
{4} $17.95
{5} $24.95
{6} $24.95
{7} $17.95
{8} $34.95
{9} $14.95
{10} $5.95
{11} Unknown

Total = $204.50

Aghhh seriously H&M! Please get your online shopping services up!
Or well cough cough ahem... maybe for the sake of my wallet, please don't :)

Oh, How Pinteresting #6 & Dream Wedding #16

Today I decided to combine my link-ups with Vintage Apple & Something Charming. Mostly just because what I wanted to do for my wedding wednesday is basically using all pictures from my pinterest board, Bride & Groom. Since I work at weddings it is no surprise that my dream wedding is starting to formulate in my head. And it is so different than what I originally thought. At first I always thought I would want this huge party with a whole bunch of people. Now trust me... I still want my big party, but there's something else I want first. I want to either elope or have an engagement shoot with an amazing photographer. Then I think probably a year later I want to have the huge party. I just think it would be so much more intimate and meaningful for myself & future mystery fiance to do it that way... Just to spend that day with the people you love more than anything. Or maybe unconsciously this is just my way of getting to celebrate twice? I don't know. But I will tell you one thing. I do not want my wedding to be the happiest day of my life. And the reason is because than what about all the rest of the days of marriage? Are you just doomed to a life of never being that happy again??

I will admit that I do believe in true love & fairy tales. <3

Oh, How Pinteresting #6 & a Dream Wedding #16: Engagement Shoot

Now don't you want to do an engagement shoot like this??
& you know what... I just thought of something...
Looking at all these happy couples makes me happy
because I am a happy girlfriend & I love my boyfriend. :)
And I feel very lucky to have that!
I think it's fun to have an engagement shoot location that fits the couple's personalities.
Which made me think...
HOW FREAKING COOL WOULD A
SNOWBOARDING ENGAGEMENT SHOOT BE?!?!?!?!
Just saying... now watch us see it next winter on one of these big wedding blogs.
Pfttt, well all I have to say is I said it first.
Now I'm off to get my haircut.
Ew.
I hate getting my haircut.
Read more about it here.
& since it's Pinteresting Wednesday... I will finish this post with some cool hair pins!
Definitely didn't mean to only use blondes... but uhh it just happened that way.

Detox Update:
After going to the pool & having to put on a bathing suit, I was quickly reminded why I chose to do this detox. And decided to make the best of it & complete it because I started it. I may have a drink or two this weekend but that doesn't mean I can't complete the 7 days. So I will be doing all 7 days. Then next time when considering a detox, I'll stick to one that is less than 5 days haha. Oh, and I just made a delicious dinner of asparagus, mushrooms & onions seasoned with salt, pepper & garlic. It was actually really fabulous and I will be making it as a side dish for the bf sometime! I think he'd like it a lot too. So, here is to self control & willing myself to just do it!

Dread it more than the Dentist

So today I have a hair appointment. Actually this is take 2. Because I made an appointment yesterday. I showed up. Got scared. And left. You might be wondering why? Well, I need a haircut. Bad. Bad as in I haven't had my hair cut since it was butchered in March. The ends are awful. So basically to get my hair back healthy would mean to cut off about 3-4 inches. I freaked out. Because that also means cutting off all my blonde ombre. I did not want that but I also didn't want to spend money to re-color it. Well, I have changed my mind because it's fried and needs it. Bad. I can honestly say I dread getting my hair done more than going to the dentist... or even to that other doctor which I will just not even mention right now. So here are some pictures I have for how I want my hair...

Anyway, my fear is because of a trip I took to Brassfields Salon in Tacoma, WA in March. The only reason I put a link to that is because I am warning you... DO NOT GO THERE. After showing multiple & countless pictures of how I wanted my blonde ombre to look, they added no blonde, instead died the ends of my hair a nasty ugly shade of red.

It was awful. I cried & cried & cried some more. Finally my friends were like you need to get them to fix it. So I went back to get it fixed. Well, they tried to re-charge me for their mistake. At this point, while having foil in my hair I said take the foil out now I'm leaving now. They finally agreed to comp it. What a terrible experience. Anyway, I am crossing my fingers today goes better! I'm going to show them all the pictures from above! More to come later...if I like the way it turns out... & hopefully the ladies at 40 Volume in Savannah are understanding & nice & sweet because I have never in my life had a hair person I go back to more than once. I need to find my hair soul mate. :)
