Solution to the Ridiculously Large Living Room Wall

So remember like a week ago when I was sooo confused about how to decorate this massive wall in my living room? No, well that's okay you can read the post here. Well, I was so lucky because Courtney at Little Moments contacted me! And she made an amazing layout & I am seriously so in love!!! You guys are going to love it!! She created 2 inspiration looks, one with a new TV stand and a 2nd bookshelf, and the other with my existing TV stand and a 2nd pair of floating shelves. Which look do you all like better??? I can't wait to get back & actually finish the living room decor!

I love how she was able to use my current style & what I love
And incorporate it into what I already have.
It's funny because I actually have those exact chevron tan pillows!
And my old bedroom had orange accents & I really loved it.
I love the idea of the side tables and what!?!? They're only $18!?
That is so do-able... And I could even put some plants on them!
Ahhh, I love it. Anyway you all need to go check out her blog
Here is a link to her Design & DIY info!
I love the navy backed shelves a lot & I definitely want to do that to our shelves.
I think I'm going to go with the bottom design though since our tv stand is new,
But I do really love that white one! And for $199 that is sooo affordable!
I definitely need to get some more shelves for the other side.
And I'm slowly transitioning all the turquoise into navy with some handy dandy spray paint. :)
I can't wait to show pictures after I do some remodeling & get some of those orange tables!!!
Thank you Courtney!!!! You rock!! :)

Calling all Interior Designers/Aspiring Interior Designers...

I need your help..
I have a big problem.
A big blank wall.
SUPER BIG.
And I don't know how to fill it.
And I've tried putting something rectangular over the TV
But the distance between the shelves on the left & the shelves on the right looked so off-balanced that I just don't think something rectangular will work & I truly don't know what to do.
I personally think the shelves on the right need to go away, but then what do I put there?
I don't have a huge budget & would prefer to really not have to spend too much.
So this is where you come in!
I am looking for an interior designer or a student in interior design or just anyone who loves interior design to help me!!! I want need your help!!
So if you are interested in writing/creating a guest post to help me fix this big problem
I would love to post it & also add a link/ad to your blog on my sidebar!
And not only that but use your advice and show the before/after pictures!!!
E-mail me at nschwalge@gmail.com if you are interested or have any questions!
Now to the ugly ugly ugly living room that makes me cringe on a daily basis.
I am not liking the turquoise at all anymore
& would like to slowly get rid of it and add navy blue instead...
And well any other accent color. I just need advice in general & am open to any suggestions
That will make this house/room more beautiful!!!!
:)

{Please forgive the poor quality of the photo, I used my iPhone since I lost my camera charger..}

I would seriously love love love any help or advice!!!!!
Because I have tried & tried again and I am stumped & stumped again...
:(
Do any of you guys have a trouble spot in your house you just can't get right??

Friday Fancies #33: Picnic Primped & Guest Post Wedding

For Friday Fancie's this week with Long Distance Loving the theme is Picnic Primped! I have been wanting to go on a picnic so bad lately! To the beach maybe or on a hike! With my boyfriend & Winnie of course! I think it'd be so much fun & I love getting away.

Friday Fancies #33: Picnic Primped

This was a perfect theme for me since I just created a
Lavender Picnic Wedding Inspiration Board
for Layla's blog! Go over here to check it out!!!
& here is a sneak peak! :)

{Guest Post} Wedding Inspiration: Lavender Picnic Wedding

Today has been a really great end to the week.
I had the sweetest bride today at work!!
At the end she grabbed my hand & sincerely thanked me
Told me she was nervous about coming in because of the mixed reviews
But that she was so so happy she got me as her consultant
& she couldn't be happier with her dress!
It made me tear up! :) It was so so sweet!
She laughed at me for tearing up but I told her
I always tear up when people say such nice things to me!!!
It was seriously the sweetest thing ever!
Tomorrow we have a wedding at Tybee.
I need to be on my A-game 100%.
I want to give the same great service to the bride tomorrow that I did today.
Because it feels so amazing when I can make someone happy.
So that is exactly what I plan on doing.
You all have any fun plans for this weekend?
If it's not raining tonight I'll be seeing Little Big Town fo' free
at Forsyth Park in Savannah!!! Yahhhhhhhh boy.

Oh & on a side note.... Bought my very first crock pot this morning & I made Chicken a La Criolla, a crock pot recipe from Skinny Taste. I've only had a bite so far since my bf isn't home yet but let me tell you... my house smells amazing & that first bite was even more amazing!! If you haven't checked out this site than you SERIOUSLY HAVE TO. I have tried several recipes and they are the best dinners I have ever made AND they are healthy!!!!!!! And they are boyfriend approved times a million!

Alright that's all...
Need to go work out now.

Wedding #40: Tiffany Blue & Pink Hollywood Glamour

This is going to be a really fun post today for
my Monday Wedding Inspiration because this is the first inspiration board
I've ever made for someone else's wedding!
Ivana & I got in contact back in February & I asked if I could make an inspiration board
for her wedding she is planning! When she said yes I was sooo excited!
She has a super cute blog & I've been following for awhile now!
Make sure & check out her blog, Macarons & Pearls

Now to the fun stuff, since I've never made an inspiration board for someone else, I wanted to make sure I got a good idea of how she envisioned her wedding... so here are some of the key things:

Theme: Old Hollywood & glamour with a touch of Paris & New York
Colors: pink and Tiffany blue
Details: flowers in crystal vases, candles, candles, more candles
Fun stuff: piano player
Dress: must stand out, lace, tulle, embellishments, pearls, Swarovski crystals, with a veil
The Proposal: Her fiance proposed in New York in
Bryant Park under the Empire State Building lights :) (How romantic!)
Location: Slovakia (her home country--WHOA!) in May after their 5th anniversary
Venue: charming hotel under an old castle, ceremony will be in a garden
Pinterest Inspiration: Style by Ivana

Wedding Inspiration #40: Ivana's Tiffany Blue & Pink Hollywood Glamour

Thanks Ivana for letting me make this for you!!! :)
This was a blast to put together & I seriously love the colors & the Parisian/Hollywood feeling,
although I didn't do very well at bringing in some New York inspiration.
But anyway I can't wait to see how her gorgeous wedding turns out!

If you are interested in having me make an inspiration board for your upcoming wedding
Please e-mail me at nschwalge@gmail.com!
I would love to make you a personalized inspiration board!! :)

We'll be working at a wedding in a historic square in downtown Savannah
& the reception is being held at The Gulf St. Legion.
I'll be in charge of making sure the ceremony runs smoothly

Guest Post Wedding: Whimsical Wedding

Here is another installment of my Tuesday Wedding Inspiration
on Layla's blog!
This is another post I put together using pretty much only Etsy!
Only the first picture of the girl is from Pinterest.
I've been trying to do this to avoid my inspiration boards
being the same stuff everyone is already seeing.
This is my way of trying to add some uniqueness to wedding inspiration boards
while also sharing some amazing Etsy finds & vendors!
I'd love it if you'd go to her site to check out the whole inspiration board
& leave some love so she'll let me keep making wedding inspiration for her!
Check it out here!

Friday Fancies #21: Blog Swap & Celebrity Status

This week on Friday Fancies we did a blog swap!
I was so excited because I love getting to know another blogger a little better!
My partner is Victoria, a 20 something girl from Boston.
She like me... loves chevron! & anything pretty! She is super adorable &
posts some great stuff on beauty, fashion, & style so I was excited to be paired with her!
We decided to do our Friday Fancies on a Celeb we like.
She did an amazing post on Kourtney, which I totally love because well...
Out of all the Kardashians she is by far my favorite
Anyone been catching the most recent episodes?
Kim Kardashian (ah-hem) I can't even handle, but the storylines between
Kourtney & Scott always have me laughing.

So meet Victoria:

Nicole and I decided to create looks based on our celebrity fashion faves. Despite your personal feelings towards the Kardashian sisters, there is no denying that they know how to dress.  I really love the way Kourtney dresses, both for day and evening. She is my fave of the three, hands-down.

Anyone who loves leopard accessories, Birkin bags, and wearing black with pops of color is right up my alley. I love that she is always looks extremely put together, yet it seems effortless.  She seems to have a formula that just works -- eye-catching accessories, flowy blouses, skinny jeans, and a great set of sunnies.  Here is my outfit based on my favorite look in the above collage (top right-hand corner).

Who is your celebrity style icon?

A special thanks to Nicole for letting me take over her blog today!! I would love for you all to stop by lamb loves sometime soon -- have a lovely weekend!

xoxo -- victoria

I am totally loving her outfit she put together!
Especially that fur vest... & just everything, so chic!

Alison over at Long Distance Loving made me an awesome
personalized Friday Fancies banner!!!
