Sundays at Home #18: Chairs, chairs + more chairs

I know I have been MIA lately...
I have been so crazy busy it is kind of getting ridiculous.
Wedding season is in full force now + I've been prepping everything for this spring's weddings...
Also, we have gotten a lot of new inquiries lately which is so exciting!
We have started booking more and more weddings for 2014 which is also really exciting!
I love being busy so it's like been so much fun!!
Although, being so busy makes it so hard to keep blogging...
But today I have some free time finally + so I wanted to put together a little blog post.
I stumbled across Industry West today + am pretty obsessed.
I have this weird obsession with unique chairs.
I don't know where it comes from but I hate boring chairs.
I mean haaaate.
I think if you had asked me a year ago what my favorite type of chair is I would have said a couch?
But now... no I would say ghost chairs, eiffel based chairs, tufted chaise lounges...
So anyway, back to Industrial West.
Loving the chairs... here are some of my favorites I just might have to add some to our home.

Seriously loving the industrial look.
Think it would fit with our super modern living room?
I'm thinking yes.

Sundays at Home #17: Joss & Main Obsession

The home decoration phase has hit me again.
We are on the house hunt here in Savannah.
So far we have found 2 that I really like.
I am pretty excited about moving & getting into someplace we can really decorate.
And paint!!!!
Anyway, I have been so obsessed with everything on Joss & Main lately...
Some things I am loving...

I'm feeling girly today.
So for my Sundays at Home today I am loving pink & gold.
Not like I would ever have a pink & gold home though...
:)

Sundays at Home #15: Fresh Scents

I am a clean freak.
I mean I really am...
But I am not good at deep cleaning...
I am more of the cleaner who always wants stuff put in it's place.
But ya know my house hasn't been smelling too amazing lately...
So I have scoured the web for some methods to get a fresh smelling house,
because Febreeze just ain't working for me.
So here is some pretty home inspiration & some fresh scent ideas I want need to try.

Sundays at Home #15: Fresh Scents

Tomorrow I am going to go get all of this & make my house smell great.
I'll let you all know how it works ;)

Sundays at Home #14: Bedroom Decor

The bf & I... well mostly I am redecorating our bedroom.
I wanted something a little more sophisticated with more character.
And I wanted girly but manly all at the same time.
So think neutrals with maybe a splash of some pink....
And it needs to have things we both love.
I love snowboarding & so I want something that represents that to me.
And my boyfriend loves the beach (I do too but I mean he really loves the beach)
So I want there to be a touch of the beach too.
So far it is coming along great & I love the changes we've made.
It will definitely take awhile though considering I don't want to spend a lot of money all at once.
I can't wait until it's all done, but I think I know in the back of my head it will never be all done.
I feel like home decorating is something that I will always be updating & changing.
But anyway... for now this is my inspiration :)

Sundays at Home #14: Bedroom Decor

Oh and the bf & I just bought a baker's rack to make the cabana closet!
I have yet to find the perfect fabric but am thinking of doing a more neutral shade...
I am real nervous & hope it turns out as gorgeous as that one!
I absolutely adore the beachy feel it gives to a room without being too over the top.
But anyway, I have lots to do before I will ever share any pictures of our room now :)
I am off to bed now! Sweet dreams ya'll!

Sundays at Home #13: Bathroom Organization

My boyfriend hates all my cosmetics and what not sitting on the counter.
So I've been trying to figure out how/what to put them in for some organization...
I think cake stands & plates are maybe the cutest ideas I've found...

Sundays at Home #13: Bathroom Organization

How do you organize your makeup, beauty products, jewelry, etc.??
Right now I have my makeup in my makeup bag, which is perfectly good for me...
I have my beauty products I use every once in a while in a basket...
My straightener, curling iron, crimper (LOL), & blow dryer are in a matching basket...
My jewelry is in the tackiest pink plastic container that I got from Target... LOL
But then the beauty products I use daily are just all over the sink...
Home Goods here I come to buy a cute cake tray & some plates! :)
Have a great Sunday yall!

Sundays at Home #12: Updated Dining Room Idea

Two Sundays at Home posts today?!?!?!?
Oh yeah... :)

Sundays at Home #12: Updated Dining Room Idea

Now I am no interior designer, so please don't be harsh or too critical of my ideas.
& I am still finding my interior design style.
I mean if it were up to me I'd hire an interior designer.
But I don't really have that kind of extra cash floating around.
Someday!! LOL.
Anyway, I have updated/changed the decor in the house so many times.
From light blue to turquoise to now navy...
Which I think hope is here to stay...
But anyway...
the color palette I am thinking of is navy, neutrals and a light lavender.
Emphasis on very light purple... I showed my bf my inspiration
& he said AHHH too girly. I said okay okay let me make the purple paler.
And I have been wanting to change the chairs & table since we got them...
But I can't complain since we bought the table & chairs off Craig's List for cheap!
I love bold graphics & prints and love the look of the horizontal striped curtains.
I think/hope this would be an easy DIY project...
And I want BIG GOLD picture frames with graphic prints inside for the wall.
I didn't add much because I don't want to spend anymore than $100 on this update.
I already have the black paint...
Think it's possible to spend $100 on 2 frames, white paint, navy fabric,
white curtains, & lavender fabric paint???
I think it's totally do-able... we'll see though...
I hope someday I can make my house beautiful enough that people will be inspired by it!
A girl can dream right? :)

Sundays at Home #11: Beautiful Rooms

Whoa how weird.
This is my first Sunday off in forever, so it actually is a Sunday at home for me.
The bf & I have a list of home chores to do today!
& I couldn't be more excited!
I think I might even attempt to paint some wall art.
This could be interesting considering last time I painted I hated it.
But I still want to try again because I love trying to make my house beautiful...
But am on a budget for one & for two we will be moving when our lease is up.

So no point in spending oodles of money when our next house might be decorated differently.
But anyway, here is some beautiful room inspiration :)
And if I do happen to paint something fabulous... then I'll definitely share with you all...
Maybe... lol!
Hope you all have a fabulous Sunday!

Sundays at Home #11: Beautiful Rooms
I love the deer head, the rustic looking dresser & that painting. If I do try & paint... that's kinda what I'm going for.
How incredible is that cabana styled closet? When the bf wakes up I'm asking if he'll make me one.

Sorta really obsessed with the chair with the fur throw over it. We need something for this awkward corner in our bedroom. This is my inspiration from the really awesome blog Elle & Ish
I've been dying for a chevron rug. If we find a plain rug today I'm buying it & gonna DIY.
I would have added more but the bf is officially awake now so
we are going to get on with our crazy day of home stuff!!!!!

Sundays at Home #10: Gold & Tan and a Detox

I wish I could have spent Sunday at home today...
But I was at work all day.
I did well though, sold two wedding dresses :)
But I was really wishing I could have spent the day with my bf.
He leaves tomorrow for 4 days & I know, that's not that long
But I still miss him :)
But anyway, I put together some home decor that I am lusting after
& would love to have in my home!
I've always loved gold anything & everything,
We currently have some gold accents in our living room
& they are by far my favorite!!!
Hope you all had a more relaxing/fun Sunday than me!

I really highly doubt I would love 10+ lbs...
But I'll keep you all posted on how it goes!

Sundays at Home #9: Hunger Games

To say I am obsessed with the Hunger Games is such a huge understatement.
I read 7/8 of the 2nd book on one plane flight & finished it first thing the next morning.
Now I am about halfway through the 3rd book.
I am so so so obsessed & am brainstorming more Hunger Games wedding inspiration boards...
Anyway, for this week's Sunday at Home, I wanted to share some inspiration
For Hunger Games in the home that I spotted on Pinterest...
Although I doubt I would never do anything like this, it's still fun to see :)

Sundays at Home #9: Hunger Games

I'm creating a list of 25 signs of an obsession with the Hunger Games.
So far I have 2... both of which made who I told them laugh a lot.
So all you Hunger Game addicts out there get excited for me to share that... :)
Hope your weekends were all fabulous!!

Sundays at Home #8: Design Darling

Today I ran across Design Darling {the boutique} while checking out Second Street East & I fell in love! They have such cute glamorous decor I had to share!

Sundays at Home #8: Design Darling

They have accessories, art, decor, desktop & matchboxes!
I definitely would recommend checking them out here :)

Tomorrow I leave for Washington to visit my friends back at college!!!
I really hope it's not too cold.
I've gotten so used to warming sundresses & flipflops
And I hear the weather there is 65 & partially cloudy.
Brrrrrrrrrrr
Anyway, if I don't update much that week that is because I am having a great vacay!
A much needed vacay!!

Sundays at Home #7: Lovely Art

I am exhausted!
I have had such an amazing weekend!
My boyfriend got back Thursday & Friday we went to see Little Big Town
FO' FREE at Forsyth Park in Savannah. It was awesome!
Then we went out with some friends.
Saturday I worked at a wedding at Tybee then 10 Downing!
It went really well & was very lovely :)
Afterwards, some of my bf's friends were having people over
& so I went to that and we ended up staying there till 330
Just talking & having a great time!
Now I am off to sell some wedding dresses...
But before that... I wanted to post just two quick pictures of some art inspiration
She has an awesome blog filled with beautiful home inspiration!!
Definitely recommend checking it out!

Sundays at Home #5: Dining Rooms

We got a dining room table!
My bf bought it off Craig's List for a whopping $140.
Not bad for a table & 4 chairs, eh?
Plus, to show how amazing & loving he is...
he found a set that has chairs with awesome backs that he knows I loveeeee.
The table & chairs now are light wood, but we plan on painting it dark dark brown
& I want to re-upholster the chairs with a fun print.
SOOOO... it might not be a farm table like I was loving in this post
But it still is amazing & of course for my Sundays at Home post this week
I wanted some dining room decor inspiration!

Sundays at Home #5: Dining Rooms

If you're looking for a tutorial on reupholstering a chair
like that silver & white one... check out the tutorial here
I know this is a short small inspiration, but I will be working today!
But I am really happy because for once I only work 12-4 instead of 12-close!
Now, gotta go get ready to sell some dresses!!!
Hope you all have a fabulous relaxing Sunday!!

Sundays at Home #4: Wall Art

How awkward is this huge blank wall space? It drives me absolutely crazy... You can't see it in this picture but on the left there are some awesome shelves & the right there is a bookcase, both which are decorated. But then in the middle just this boring black space over the TV. I really think we should have probably mounted the TV or something & made it a little higher, but oh well. So anyway, I'm all about saving money... & considering wall art is ridiculously expensive to me, I think I am just going to attempt to design my own wall art. So this Sundays at home post is some inspiration on wall art that I really love. I wish I could say I'm spending this Sunday at home, but I will be working again today! Right now though I am watching some National Geographic haha. I never used to like this channel but then one day the bf & I were watching some "guilly-mots?" dive into the ocean & I've been addicted ever since.

Sundays at Home #4: Wall Art

That first image is the exact colors basically of our living room...
It's mostly tan with different shades of turquoise & a splash of gold accents.
The living room has a very tiny bit of beachy-ness but it's very tiny
& really means a seahorse candle holder & a pillow with coral on it.
Oh & I have a 2 part painting my friend made of the beach.
So whatever I decide to make, I want it to tie in & mesh with the room not clash.
I'm nervous to see what I come up with... hahhaha hope it's good!

Not-so-sunday at Home #3: Farmhouse Tables

So we have been moved in now for a little over a week.
And we have got a lot of furniture in this week.
A couch, a tv, a tv stand, a kitchen island, a money tree, a peace tree...
& lots of random decor.
But one thing we have yet to purchase... a dining room table.
I have recently fallen in love with rustic farmhouse dining room tables.
I know it's not Sunday, it's Wednesday.
And I'm going so out of order, but I blame it on the fact Comcast
couldn't come until Tuesday which meant no wifi for a week!
So for the third installment of my Sundays at home...

Not-so-Sunday at Home #3: Farmhouse Tables

I really wish 2 things:
1. I had enough money to buy a totally freaking awesome wooden table
2. I was crafty enough to find a palette & make my own

Now I am feeling motivated to go find a table
& chairs and make a beautiful dining room!
One project at a time... gah!
