Jamie's Baby Shower & Celebration at Home Link Party

I love link-ups & was so excited when I saw this link-up on Celebrations at Home! I found it in perfect timing to post pictures from my cousin's baby shower I hosted yesterday! I was happy with the way everything turned out! I wish the pictures were better quality but unfortunately I had to take them with my iPhone!!

Jamie's Baby Shower

I'd say the shower was a success...
I mean just look at how many gifts are on that gift table!
They filled up a whole truckload of gifts hahaha...
The food was positively delicious!
Thanks to Momma Amanda (whose pregnant with twins)
She made cucumber pimento treats with cherry tomatoes on top
& fruit salad in waffle cones
& little hot dogs
& mini caprese salad
& neon pink deviled eggs!
And aren't those favors cute?!?!
Stacy made the Cowgirl Cookies in a jar & everyone loved them!
I designed the Wishes for Baby & put up all the decor!
I love love loveeeed how the Wishes for Baby turned out!
They definitely turned out better than my whoopie pies...

Oh & I learned some good things while planning this so I wanted to share:

1. Don't underestimate the cost of printables.
I had no idea how much it was going to cost me to print the cupcake toppers & invitations. I spent over $150 on all of that. I wished I would have spent that money on more party decorations instead.
2. MAKE A BUDGET!!!!!!!!!
I think I thought that since this was a party for only 25 people it wouldn't be a big deal,
but I spent way too much on little details (spray painted mason jars, printables, whoopie pie tray, etc.)
& way too little on party decorations.
3. Don't overestimate how much food you need.
We had way too much food leftover... Bags & bags & bags of it...

Live & learn though right?!?!

  5. Those are definitely some great tips, I know when I plan something like this, I don't even consider a budget when I know I should be. But cute party none the less, and the Wishes for Baby idea is so cute! Hope you have a great week!

PS I think the shirt/dress thing on my blog was actually a romper so it's a little bit of both!
